Responsibilities

  • Ownership of backend services including database systems infrastructure (MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, ClickHouse) and infrastructure components such as Memcache
  • Code development and review, documentation creation, capacity planning, and resolution of complex production issues
  • Participation in on-call rotation and serving as escalation contact for service incidents
  • Collaboration with engineering teams on production systems serving billions of users globally

Minimum Qualifications

  • Engineering degree in a related technical discipline or equivalent professional experience
  • Strong understanding of operating systems and TCP/IP network fundamentals
  • Proficiency in higher-level programming languages (PHP, Python, C++, Java, or similar)
  • Experience configuring and maintaining web servers, load balancers, relational databases, storage systems, and messaging systems
